On successful completion of this programme, graduates should be able to:

1. Critically evaluate global developments in high-level biological research.
2. Apply innovative and novel methods of data collection and analysis in a specialised field of biology.
3. Communicate the findings of biological research in written and oral forms, as well as in a format appropriate for scientific publication.
4. Identify research gaps and direct research efforts to address regional issues in the field of biology.
