Postgraduate Diploma in Science (Biology)

On successful completion of this programme, graduates should be able to:

  1. Use theoretical knowledge and applied skills to assess the needs of Pacific Island communities in relation to biological phenomena.
  2. Apply robust experimental design to collect information necessary to evaluate the integrity of natural island ecosystems.
  3. Critically apply biostatistical analyses to data collected from sound independent/supervised research to test biological/ecological hypotheses.
  4. Work collaboratively to develop and disseminate targeted communication materials highlighting the implications of biological research outcomes for Pacific communities.
