On successful completion of this programme, graduates should be able to:

  1. Explain efficiently an advanced range of concepts in the marine science discipline.
  2. Identify and analyse marine science research gaps and formulate strategies to effectively address these gaps.
  3. Develop and apply appropriate scientific research methods, including observational, experimental, and modelling techniques to specific marine science research programmes.
  4. Synthesise and interpret marine science research findings for marine resource policy development and management decisions.
  5. Summarise and communicate marine science research findings for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
