Postgraduate Diploma in Agriculture (Animal Science)

On successful completion of this programme, graduates should be able to:

1. Apply animal science-related knowledge to practical livestock management in the Pacific Island Countries (PICs).
2. Conduct animal science research ethically, following appropriate multi-disciplinary research methods.
3. Identify and solve problems in animal production, processing, and marketing.
4. Communicate research findings and solutions in animal science-related contexts, in a format appropriate to farmers and other stakeholders in agriculture.
5. Develop sustainable animal production and marketing practices, in a manner that recognises the social, environmental, economic, and cultural needs of the Pacific region.
