Postgraduate Diploma in Arts (Environmental Management)

On successful completion of this programme, graduates should be able to:

  1. Reflect on the diversity of Pacific societies, cultures, histories, and ecosystems within a multi-disciplinary context, to apply sustainable development theories and practices.
  2. Critically evaluate the implications of contemporary theories, policies, strategies, tools, and knowledge to advance sustainable development practices and environmental management in diverse cultures and contexts.
  3. Analyse and professionally evaluate the interactions of environmental change on security, economic and social conditions, poverty alleviation, quality of life, equity, health, biodiversity, and the nexus of food, water, and energy security.
  4. Conduct professional-quality scientific research in multi-disciplinary contexts by applying scientific, technical, political, economic, social, change management, and governance considerations to support change for sustainable development.
