Postgraduate Diploma in Arts (Marine Management)

On successful completion of this programme, graduates should be able to:

1. Formulate national and regional policies for effective governance of ocean resources in the Pacific Island Countries (PICs), using appropriate scientific advice and knowledge.
2. Analyse international, regional, and national policy, legal and management frameworks for ocean resources of the PICs, and the relationship between them.
3. Apply core skills in designing and conducting social science research and communicating findings of such research to marine resource managers.
4. Explain the importance of regional cooperation and collaboration in the governance and management of ocean resources in the PICs.
5. Identify challenges for the governance and management of ocean resources in the PICs.
