Postgraduate Diploma in Science (Environmental Geoscience)

On successful completion of this programme, graduates should be able to:

1. Describe the Earth, its atmosphere and oceans, and the natural and anthropogenic processes that shape and influence them.
2. Demonstrate technical skills across a broad range of field and laboratory methodologies and demonstrate their application to environmental questions.
3. Apply critical thinking and the scientific method to plan and carry out independent research in the area of environmental geoscience.
4. Identify and execute relevant expert knowledge and skills to address developmental challenges unique to the Pacific Islands.
5. Use interdisciplinary problem-solving skills to address grand societal challenges for environmental sustainability in the Pacific.
