Postgraduate Diploma in Agriculture (Agricultural Economics)

On successful completion of this programme, graduates should be able to:

  1. Apply core knowledge in the field of agricultural economics and extension disciplines in the PICs.
  2. Conduct agricultural economics and extension-discipline research ethically, following appropriate multi-disciplinary research methods.
  3. Identify and solve problems in a range of different situations in agricultural production, marketing, and extension disciplines.
  4. Design training materials and communicate effectively in a format appropriate to farmers and other agriculture-interested stakeholders.
  5. Develop strategies for sustainable agricultural production and marketing practices, in a manner that recognises the social, environmental, economic, and cultural needs of the Pacific Region.
