Doctor of Philosophy (Earth Science)

On successful completion of this programme, graduates should be able to:

1. Evaluate and critically analyse literature in a specialised area of Earth Sciences and identify new research directions that will advance the area of research.
2. Develop and implement an original research project, by working independently and ethically, which contributes to the published body of knowledge in the Earth Sciences.
3. Communicate the results of research work in oral and written format to other Earth Scientists, the wider academic community, and society.
