Doctor of Philosophy (Development Studies)

On successful completion of this programme, graduates are expected to be able to:

1. Illustrate in-depth knowledge of the discipline of Development Studies.
2. Apply strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking abilities in the field of Development Studies.
3. Conduct independent and original research and create new knowledge in the field of Development Studies.
4. Implement an appropriately designed instrument to gather substantial and credible data of qualitative and/or quantitative nature in the field of Development Studies.
5. Proficiently analyse data to reach robust and logical findings that make original contribution to the Development Studies literature.
6. Communicate knowledge of the discipline of Development Studies employing appropriate academic convention to a wide range of audience.
