On successful completion of this programme, graduates are expected to be able to:
- Plan and conduct research activities independently and in collaboration with the supervisor in a focussed area of the law whilst displaying a good understanding of ancillary or connected areas of the law.
- Search, identify and communicate relevant questions of law effectively, in a well-circumscribed and justified context using all relevant tools as the specificity of the research requires, utilising a variety of forums and mediums.
- Identify pertinent legal issues or gap in the law, critically analyse, and apply theoretical concepts in a well-circumscribed and justified context of the law.
- Demonstrate, both personally and professionally, the principles of ethics and the highest standards of legal professionalism.
- Justify responses to systemic legal issues, investigate and propose options for reform that promote notions for integrity, coherence, resilience and sustainability.
Master of Laws (SRP)
