On successful completion of this programme, graduates are expected to be able to:

  1. Interpret advanced elements and operations of the international system.
  2. Develop a diplomatic strategy applying advanced knowledge of diplomacy and negotiation skills.
  3. Critically examine advanced issues in Pacific regional diplomacy and foreign policy.
  4. Identify advanced issues in global trade governance.
  5. Evaluate advanced theoretical perspectives on international relations.
  6. Communicate effectively a wide range of arguments, in oral and written modes, appraising advanced elements of the international system, diplomacy, or global trade governance.
  7. Conduct independent research in the field of international systems, diplomacy, and global trade governance.
