Bachelor of Arts (Linguistics)
On successful completion of this programme, graduates should be able to:
- Use appropriate techniques to describe and analyse linguistic data, particularly drawn from the Pacific region;
- Produce appropriate forms of written and spoken texts that employ accurate metalinguistic terminology and demonstrate ethical and critical engagement with linguistic ideas;
- Demonstrate awareness of the relevance of linguistic understanding in informing such issues as human rights, cultural heritage, social development, education and planning.
