Postgraduate Diploma in Arts (Linguistics)

On successful completion of this programme, graduates are expected to be able to:

1. Analyse the structure, acquisition, and use of Pacific languages.
2. Evaluate linguistic phenomena or challenges of relevance to language description and documentation.
3. Formulate strategies and solutions to linguistic challenges faced in their own particular contexts.
4. Demonstrate critical thinking and autonomy in authentic situations encountered by language researchers.
5. Critically engage with research publications and data sets from across the field of Linguistics.
6. Use appropriate ICT tools effectively to support analysis, research and/or community engagement.
