Bachelor of Arts (Pacific Language Studies)

On successful completion of this programme, graduates should be able to:

  1. Display competence in and understanding of one or more languages spoken in the Pacific region;
  2. Evaluate the place of both indigenous and introduced languages within the multilingual Pacific;
  3. Demonstrate awareness of the relevance of linguistic understanding and competence in contributing to such issues as human rights, cultural heritage, development and planning, education, politics and business.
