Postgraduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching

On successful completion of this programme, graduates are expected to be able to:

1. Design and appraise models of learning including the use of innovative teaching methods, tools, and techniques in different Learning Environments (LEs) in higher education to critically engage all students.
2. Integrate high-order critical thinking skills and knowledge required for facilitating learning and assessment in different modes of delivering higher education.
3. Design, develop and evaluate curriculum for higher education contexts in the Pacific.
4. Integrate the principles of new pedagogies and current and emerging technologies to meet learners’ needs and enable educational practice-based research in higher education.
5. Effectively cultivate a community of practice in online and blended learning situations through discussion and reflective practice.
